We can all feel the need to experiment with our appearance from time to time. As humans, we spend a lot of time worrying about our appearances, so it’s no wonder that many of us enjoy trying out different styles from time to time. For the majority of us, taking a perceived risk on a new outfit is generally sufficient to check the box. Alternatively, after years of wearing the same hairstyle, you may decide to change it up.

A new look can have a revitalizing, reviving effect, instilling new vitality in us when we need it the most. Rosa Ramirez, a young woman from the US, underwent a significant stylistic change after 25 years of wearing her hair in the same way. Rosa’s tale first made headlines in 2015, but her change is just as striking today for those who missed it at the time.

Rosa’s hair was reportedly so long that she could stomp on it while walking. Her husband had attempted several times over the years to persuade her to at least consider getting it cut, but Rosa wasn’t convinced because she’d been wearing the same style for 25 years.

Rosa’s hair was 1.5 meters long when she finally decided to get it cut. What’s the reason? So she could send a whopping four feet of hair to Locks of Love, a foundation that makes wigs for children who have lost their hair due to cancer.

“I think it would make somebody’s day who’s suffering from a bad disease, it will make their day a little brighter,” Rosa went on to say. Rosa’s change was undeniably impressive. My wife thinks I become a new person when I cut my hair after letting it grow for three months, let alone 25 years! View the video below to witness Rosa’s transformation:
